I just love that it was 50s week on american idol. The only thing better than 60s week, beatles week or bob dylan week (probably only the first can ever happen). If only someone did johnny cash prison songs. At the start of the prison live albums he goes 'hello I'm johnny cash'. 3 face-painting parties next month let's have a big hurray!!!!!!! The themes are: ROCK STAR PARTY (oooh...K.I.S.S. faces?!), SUPERHERO party (in my mind there's only batman, spiderman and wonderwoman. Oh and superman, catwoman, fantastic 4?...captain planet, lil kids?) and I think EASTER party (bunnies and rabbits and sweet flowery sunny things). 25, 16 and 20 kids. Looking forward to it. I shared the pool with 3 old men today, Mr. E (he finally got into the pool for a few minutes), Humpty Dumpty and blurred-face-which-i-couldn't-see. Turns out Mr. E and Humpty are friends. Mr. E walked up to ol' Humpty (who exercises all the time, baring his big round belly) as if they met in a hawker centre and said hi, except they were waist-deep in water and had their little trunks on. Anyhow Mr. E returned to his reading and i'm still curious about what he's reading. I don't know why but I think it's classic crime novels. French is getting more fun and much harder. I'm getting to know the people there (i.e. person sitting next to me). 2 lessons ago, the teacher Mr. B (baby-faced vietnamese-french small guy who declared that he loves angelina jolie), while teaching us "j'aime...." asked me if I like andy lau and I said no. Then he asked if I like chow yun fatt and I said no. Then he asked if I like aaron kwok, I said no. Finally he moved on. He also asked the retro travel agent if she's married or single. The whole class went silent, she replied that she's single and then he explained that single, or 'seule' literally meant 'alone'. He randomly asks everyone random questions about food, living area, anything. V for vendetta has me hooked unexpectedly. I felt quite faint afterward and person-sitting-next-to-me at french didn't think a movie could have that effect. A movie can change the world, or a person's world. But I feel completely guilty because I have experienced the movie without having read the book which makes me unfaithful. The book sounds sensational in a dark, glorious way. Oh boy!

I DROVE IN THE CRAZY RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With my shrimpy middle-aged adorable chinese instructor (whom I got allocated a second time) going, "come on, heavy rain!" We drove on the road, but mainly around the driving centre, so it was just big wide stretches of road going round and round behind big buildings. I always thought it would be something to drive in heavy rain on a sunday afternoon. And it was. There's something about sundays. Makes me feel like listening to the beatles.

The idea was to earn money to go on a trip in july. Not to stay in any expensive place whatsoever but to really experience some kind of budget travel and experience the place. I haven't earned more than a thousand since the holidays begun, but I will!!!! Places to possibly go to (in my wildest dreams) (my father will probably not say yes, but say no firmly with bulging eyes): mauritius, new york, bali, tioman, bhutan. And when I say in my wildest dreams I really mean it.
