Movies I've watched mostly for the first time, since the A-levels ended, or almost did: Harold & Maude, Rock School, Pride & Prejudice, School of Rock, Sky High, Good Morning Vietnam, Down With Love, Love Actually, The Chronicles of Narnia, You've Got Mail, The Spanish Apartment, Coffee & Cigarettes, Wallace & Gromit, Sliding Doors, Italian For Beginners, Elizabethtown, Broken Flowers, Le Divorce, In The Mood For Love, Four Weddings and a Funeral, About A Boy, A Knight's Tale, The History of Rock & Roll Vol 1 & 2 (8 hours, I skipped vol 3 eventually. It was about punk rock, mtv and madonna), High Fidelity

Books I've read since the A-levels ended: Pride & Prejudice, On The Road, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Howl's Moving Castle, The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe, My Family and Other Animals, The English Patient

I wrote all this down somewhere. And because of all this, I've been going in and out of one world into another and another and then another endlessly, knowing but not really needing to know the date or time of the day. Oooh is this crazy or what. I feel like a saturated chunk of...cheese and rainbows and air. In fact, I am starting to feel a bit like that man in that real life story Shaun told us repeatedly about a man who did nothing but sit on his couch and watch movies for months and then died. Today has got to be the peak because I literally devoted the day to reading The English Patient and finished it in a day. I know I will forever take comfort in movies and always find it sacred to sit down to a movie. I feel like shrieking but I can't gather the physical force for that. I guess I will have to wash the incredible swirl in my head -filled with everything I have been watching and reading- out with a swig of dettol. I feel like I have gone through everything I have watched and read when in fact I physically have gone through....nothing, at all. I have just sat on my buttocks for those hundreds of hours. And yet, my soul, so to speak, has been on all sorts of incredible trips reading books and watching movies. What a crazy mess!!!!!!!
