i agree! he's fantastic! i saw the movie a few weeks ago, and im going 2 see it again soon! evry time i see the trailer on tv.... OMG!!! i havent seen CF as Darcy , but i was blown away by mcfadyen!

oh, gosh, you MUST see colin firth as darcy!! i completely loved matthew macfadyen, dont get me wrong, but he has tough competition! they played it very differently...both amazing!

I love his eyes. They are far from ordinary.

oh i definitley agree with EVERYTHING you just said. the whole movie i was like (ooohhmr darcy!!!!) and i wanted them to have mad love with eachother!!) but he was amazing. and i definitley think he was better than colin firth. a VERY beautiful man indeed!

Agree 100%, he's slimmer than CF in this role for starters, and the Regency clothes, um.. breeches fits him perfectly (want to stroke his calf).
I particularly adore a scene in Rosings of Col Fitzwilliam and him standing in all their resplendent evening coat.... such a feast for the eyes. MM's strong forehead exudes keen intellect and nobleness which I find lacking in CF, even though I love the BBC version (rated a 10 of course).

According to the website there is no known fanmail address for MM. I hope this film catapults him into international stardom, he has been such a brilliant actor but virtually unknown outside of UK.

I must agree that I think MM was a much better Darcy than CF. I didn't know what I was expecting when I walked into the theater, but walking out of the theater he made feel all gooey inside. If all men were like that the world would be a much better place.

Yeah i went to go see Pride and Prejudice yesterday too and I thought Matthew was an incredibly sexy beast. He and Keira Knieghtly or however you spell her name :) are soo adorable together!

I'll buy this DVD when it comes out just to see more of extremely sexy Matthew. Hope Hollywood directors hire this hottie for more movies. Those beautiful blue eyes of his were definitely burning up the screen in Pride and Prejudice. And, when he walked out of that mist towards the end wearing that open shirt exposing his sexy chest.....YOWZA!!!! Very yummy man!

I've seen it twice so far. He has bewitched me body and soul! Those eyes.......

I have a pic. of him printed out (as Darcy, from the www.prideandprejudicemovie.net website - where you can listen to the lovely music and swoon over him in period pics!) and I just stare at it all day long ... much better-looking with longer hair than the short crop he usually has.

I am loving on the road. Sal is travelling across America on the road. Whoopee! The whole book isn't like what you read above it has much more on places and people and travelling. Apparently jack kerouac typed it in 3 weeks on one single scroll of paper so the entire book has the fast-paced staccato rhythm and thrill of that. If you are hungering for something, anything, that you can't fathom or describe or anything, just read it as it is fantastic. Today i didn't know what to do but after a while i knew what to do. I went to practise the drums and spent 2 hours working out 5 rhythms on one page. I can't believe it how much i could do when i tried very hard. I mean I looked at some of them and slowly figured it out bit by bit and slowly I could play the entire rhythm and fill in. it is such serious fun. i'll soon be quarter deaf (literally), i know, but this is so great. I also decided that I'm going to be a face-painter. I'm not too good at it right now, but i will get books (and books are good for this), and practise on all my cousins and sister and invent new faces till i'm really good and then I'll work for kids' parties and events. this is the first job i've thought of since the exams ended that i really like the thought of. The family (besides iz) isn't too enthusiastic and i hated them for that this afternoon. I will hate them again every time I mention it again, so I should not mention it, but knowing me i will deliberately do it to test them and convince myself that one day when i am not living with them i will not miss them because they are sometimes like cold fish with no spark. I am also turning into a hermit. I have not yet met up with all the people i was surely going to meet when the exams are over, but i know i will someday. Being a hermit is good for now. It'll make everyone else in my life seem less boring when i do meet them again. Surely everyone gets sick of everyone. I get sick of myself sometimes. But scrubs is the salvation. I have 3 dvds of it right now, what bliss. Everything i have said here has pertained to myself, i am well aware. I can't stand it. Yin ren's msn display picture is christian bale in some movie (hannibal?!) looking like the most psychotic person i've ever seen, smiling, around some black gooey thing and the caption is 'I just ate some of their BRAINS'. It's so funny. I am also loving a very close-up of Paul McCartney singing Hey Jude. Anyway, is it any wonder that the top song this season at itunes is looking to be All I Want For Christmas Is You???????

I watched Pride & Prejudice today. It was as the review on the poster said 'SIMPLY AND ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS'. I know i always say i love every single movie i watch, but this was special. Some review said it isn't for true 'Austenites' (not that i'm one, and what a crazy term) but the setting and everything was just in its own way so lovely, and wholesome and raw. Even if it wasn't an accurate representation (who knows) but I love the setting, the mud, horse's butts, wood everywhere, clinking of spoons and scooping potatoes and bread and jam and the grasslands and big trees and their layered dresses and bright pink faces, and the piano, those sculptures that popped out of nowhere and the merry jolly bars and people. and how mr. bennet and wickham tied their long hair into a bow!!!! darcy wasn't proud or arrogant enough but never mind, more dark and forlorn, and he had these sad gray eyes and a strange voice and mutilated face. jane was perfectly bright-eyed and elegant and bingley was this glowing man. keira knightley was spirited.

I can't believe I said to go overseas to find some crazy peace, not that i can't find some crazy peace now. but when you're in an inspired but disgruntled (if thats the way to describe it) sort of mood (as i was) that's more likely when you see things for what they are, isn't it. Anyway, i'm reading On The Road right now and it's absolutely fantastic. Bright burning stars and hitchhiking and alive madmen everywhere. Vivienne just chatted with me, from sydney!!!! Just amazing. She's there on a stopover before going to new zealand for BLACK water rafting and other extreme sports like bungee jumping and wakeboarding or whatever it has to offer i guess. and as i corrected her that i think its WHITE water rafting, she tells me that black water rafting means its underground. I'd give up whatever I'm doing now (which i am liking but it doesn't give me the feeling i want right now) to be there doing all that. That is EXACTLY what i want to be doing right now.

Today i met this guy from yahoo auctions and he sold me these rubber practise pads for drums. He told me about how his son forced him to buy chicken little ('waste money, that one') and said my watching pride and prejudice was not too bad compared to that. He was absolutely jolly and honest-sounding and just like my father and his friends at their annual gathering sound. Well either that or a total pretender. But these middle aged men all sound vaguely thataways. He was really nice and told me its better to get a drum teacher (he's one himself) than practise alone or with a book. And he went off for some gig. 'That's my life' he says.

And who wants Italian lessons please!!!! Urgent! In caso di emergenza, tirare il cordoncino!!

Today is john lennon's 25th death anniversary. Hello John, wherever you are. Hopefully you're in heaven playing songs now. Make the papers stop writing articles about yoko ono being evil, or yoko vs cynthia and julian. I was in a dressing room today and 'merry christmas (war is over)' came on. Yoko is preventing mark david chapman from getting out of jail. Poor chappy. He'll get killed by lennon worshippers when he gets out. Oh, but he won't. They're peace-loving. AREN'T THEY?!?!?!?!!!! Happy death day, John.

I just finished reading pride and prejudice!!!! DARCY LOVES LIZZY! LIZZY LOVES DARCY! And everyone hates mr collins and mrs bennet. The greatest thing is that the movie is coming out in a few days and the site is fantastic! the trailer gives tingles! darcy is....funny! and the 6-hour bbc version also awaits!! colin firth as darcy is just as perfect as an excruciatingly tight pair of pants on medium sized buttocks.

And reading backpacking across europe, with these specific instructions on europass and hostels and all makes the idea of travelling so feasible. It's just incredible. If I were a guy I could go alone. I don't even feel like this is a daydream. This is REAL. Work and earn money, use that money to travel. Come back and work somemore, repeating the cycle. I am feeling the need to get away from singapore and just be on a plane to somewhere. Just to find some crazy peace.....
