Paul McCartney and Bono opened the Live 8 concert in London's Hyde Park with The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".
The 150, 000-people crowd screamed as McCartney belted out 'it was twenty years ago today...'

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Coldplay performs at Hyde Park too, along with Pink Flyod I think who are performing together for the first time in more than twenty years or something like that. WOW. A hundred and fifty thousand people. What a feeling.

I discovered yesterday that even though I have owned the love actually soundtrack for more than a year and a half, I have never opened up the record sleeve to look at Richard Curtis' friendly message inside or look at the pictures within. It just amazes me. I told my father to read the hilarious article today on how singaporean teenagers rate their fathers C-, because they don't know their best friends' names and what they like and don't bother to listen. And he said, why? I know I'm very good. 85 upon 100. AHA! He doesn't know what a blog is, he doesn't know much about what I like, what I'm like, how I think, what I think of him or anything much at all. Everything in his mind is pleasant picture-perfect. Conversations are pleasant nice and simple. I wonder if it should change.

2 days before school reopens and then it's public p.!!!!! It's going to be a blast. I urgently need to read Harry Potter and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the movie of the year for me!) Harry Potter out in FOURTEEN days I can hardly believe it. And THEN, we will know why Dumbledore trusts Snape, how Harry is more importantly related to his parents and more........tee hee hee.
What a lovely sunday, doing nothing but painting, writing, reading and an essay. Dreaming at its most lazy and powerful. Still, I wish I were at Live 8.
